Annoyance at TV commercials

This is regarding your TV commercial. The man keeps snapping his fingers, seems like in my face, to emphasize what he is saying. It is VASTLY annoying. Find some other way to lend emphasis to what is being said. I mute or turn off the commercials now as soon as they appear.

Policies different from contract

My policies stated that my vehicle had full hazard coverage on the transmission and engine, I am having problems with my transmission and it is in the Ford Garage they told me it will need a new transmission and Torque converter and the cost would be around $4,671, car shield says that I have to have them take the Transmission out of the truck and tear it down to find out what it is and to see if it covered under my policy, and if it's covered then they will have it repaired, If not the cost will be mine!! I thought that if you have coverage on your vehicle that states the transmission and or engine is covered then it should be covered not this policy they use of what's wrong with it!. (It's not working) and I have the Insurance coverage on the vehicle and up to date. If it does not get repaired, than I will be stuck with the bill.I hope the people that have this so called Insurance on the vehicle Repairs knows how they treat people when we need to use them the most. I will have to fight this,If I have to do so But this is wrong on their end and I also have car rental on my policy and they told me that I can not get one till they find out what is wrong with my transmission which will be 4or 5 days if I have the money to do all that they are asking from me. so I guess I'm walking till then, this is not right. And I wish they had explained it to me, because I sure would not have ever put this policy on my vehicle, I feel this is a Big SCAM... I hope that they do see my policy and get this repaired for me Let hope.

Just another shady insurance company

Don't bought the powertrain plus coverage for my Toyota Sienna. It only had about 146k miles and my previous Sienna went 340k before blowing the engine. I got coverage because I just had two kids get out of school, we are massively in debt and I still had another couple of years of payments for this thing. Couldn't handle a big repair expense. 9 months after I got the CarShield insurance, the motor started making a noise. I took it in, and the mechanic said the engine was going and needed to be replaced. He started a claim with CarShield. An adjuster called me and said that he wanted to see my service records. I told him that I had always done the required PM on my cars but my long time mechanic shop had filed for bankruptcy and went under. The owner (father, daughter, 40 year business) filed bankruptcy, got rid of all the records, packed up and moved out of state. All the records are lost, not my fault. My contract says that service records are required to be kept because CarShield may, at their discretion, require them. Well, I knew that and I knew also that I could call my mechanic to get them if I ever needed them. But now they are gone. There are lots of indicators that my vehicle was properly maintained. The mechanic checked the oil when I took it and said it was on the stick and decent color. There are no oil leaks or seeping, and no oil on my driveway. The mechanic said that it sounded like the chain had just gotten loose over normal wear and tear on 150k miles. He said he had seen it before even on vehicles that were properly maintained. My mileage right now is just less than 5000 miles, so since I bought the contract, a mandatory oil change wasn't even required. And I recall having t done anyway when I had the car in for tires and brakes in October. But, the insurance company won't listen and won't take all the facts and do what is right. They are just standing on the technicality that I can't produce the service records and is denying the claim. I wasted $900 to get coverage for a potential engine failure, properly maintained my vehicle, and could have produced the records if my mechanic hadn't gone out of business. This was not my fault, and I got no understanding at all. They happily took the technicality to let them off the hook, despite all the constant commercials indicating they are great to work with. This is not honorable and I wouldn't recommend anyone sign up with a company that will take any fine print way to get out of helping a customer. Like many others have said about this company, you would be better off putting the monthly payments into a rainy day mechanical repair fund.

You don’t keep copies of your repairs???...Really????.....Have a copy of your mortgage and car payments?.....still car shield is a joke!

Worse warranty coverage out there. they are not in the business of paying out claims, only denying them.

NO SERVICES EVERY BEING APPROVED. ALWAYS DENIED. NOT ALLOWING POLICYS TO BE CANCELLED AS REQUESTED. STATIN NO REFUND FOR POLICY PAID IN FULL. Thanks Donna Chicago

High Pressure Tactics

I received a call from Brandon and he only offered me the Diamond plan. I mentioned that I was still shopping prices and he lowered the price for me. I asked for the quote so I could compare and he told me that he doesn't provide quotes but if I gave him my debit card he would email me the contract. After declining the offer, they have called my cell and work numbers multiple times a day. They are to the point of harassing me and trying to put high pressure sales tactics. I've asked them to stop calling and remove my number but they don't care and still continue to call.

A BIG RIPOFF

Carshield is a SCAM! These *** make big promises on tv, but after you call them, they quote these overinflated premiums that have so many exclusions, that makes it not worth the cost; then if you decide not to purchase, they bombard you with spam calls. they called me several times a day, every day for months. I called them every name in the book, and the *** kept calling. Carshield is straight up GARBAGE!!

Extremely poor service

After months of paying $89 per month, the first time that I need the policy, they tell me “not covered” and that I should have read my policy better”. The salesman was slick and said all the right words. Now I have to pay for my truck myself after paying them for months. I am angry at myself for falling for these shysters. Please do not trade with CarShield.

Car not fixed

Carshield is a joke!!!!!!!They came out and looked at my CTS and told the dealer to tear down the transmission so that they can inspect the problem.Once done they came back out to write report and to take pictures.But didn't want to cover all the problems and the parts they did replace well it was a used part with more miles on the part than the one that was broken.They thought the dealer was trying to get over on them about the other parts they refused to replaces.So dealer put transmission back together and guess what the car still wouldn't move.So dealer refiled a claim,they came back out they on the same parts they seen the first time then they said they wouldn't cover bc the seen rust on the outputshaft,other words just a term to use not to cover my car.My best advice to anyone,buy a car with a warranty and before than warranty on car you brought renew that warranty don't go with these aftermarket warranty people,they only want to put used parts on your cars.

I cringe every time I see that ad. There is almost nothing catagoricaly less useful than these "warranty" plans.

I always hope that nobody falls for this ; I'm sorry it was you. Same for the home repair versions.

Did not cover what they originally stated

I bought their gold plan contract which states what they cover. When a power window went it was the switch on the door not the motor. they cover the motor but that wasn't the problem the $180.00 switch that controls it NO! I got stuck with the 300.00 repair bill. also, they send you to another company who insures your car, American auto shield, and their rude as ***

Dissatisfaction with Car Shield

I drove a 2007 Kia Sedona, which I bought in 2008, and It had been a very reliable vehicle (just normal maintenance). 15 months ago I decided to get a Car Shield policy. At that point I had the car 11 years and put about 7000 miles a year on it ( it had 21000 miles on it when I bought it). I've never owned a car for that long, but I knew that if something happened it would be expensive to fix. 15 months after I bought the policy I had some engine trouble. I had it towed to a reputable repair shop, contacted the insurance company, and rented a car. The Mechanic called me and told me what the problem was. He told me how much it would be to repair the engine and said it would be much cheaper to just replace the engine with another one. We both contacted Car Shield and that's when the trouble started. At first they said they would buy the parts ( they said they could get them cheaper), Then they demanded maintenance records for the entire time I've owned the car. After that they said they would not authorize any repairs unless the original engine was deconstructed to a certain point at which time they would send an inspector to look at the engine. After that, if it met certain criteria, they would authorize repairs. If it didn't they would not. Either way I would have to pay for the disassembly my self which would have cost $4500.00. It would have cost $2500.00 to replace the engine. At that point I was in for the months I'd paid for the insurance ($130.00 a month), the cost of a rental car (for 4 weeks totaling $800.00), and a lot of aggravation! I had to cut my losses. It was simply costing me too much. The van was worth less then the repairs it would have taken to repair it. I went and bought another car and I also went to my bank and put a stop order for payments on the insurance ( which cost me another $33.00!) The van I had to sell for scrap and now I have a car payment for the next 72 months! And now I'm getting phone calls, text messages, and letters asking for monthly payments for the insurance! They were always very unpleasant to deal with. The Mechanic has said he will NEVER deal with this company again. I keep seeing their commercials all the time, but they are FRAUDS ( which I've told them over and over again)! I would have liked for them to return the money I had paid for all those months I'd paid for the insurance since they DID NOT provide services for payment. Which IS the definition of fraud!

I’m shocked at the number of bad reviews on this company. I was thinking of purchasing a contract but now No Way !

I feel for all of these folks who fell victim to this gross deception. I would advise them to contact their states Attorney General’s office for assistance.

You've apparently never cancelled the policy in writing and served the notice via Certified Mail Return Receipt Requested. Is it a monthly payment setup?

What is the cancellation requirement as stated in the policy? 30 days written in advance of next billing period?

Term obligation? To simply stop paying may mean you haven't buried this corpse properly and it is starting to stink.
